Steppermotor specifications / Schrittmotor Spezifikationen

Hi everyone,

I'm not sure what kind of steppermotor to order for my mini engine v2 system.
I have a 12V, 10Ah motorcycle battery as a powersupply.

I thought about this steppermotor:
Pololu NEMA-17, Bipolar, 200steps, 2,8V, 1,7A/Phase

Is that suitable for the system, or do I need to have a motor running at 12V? How does the system "know" what voltage stepper motor I'm using?

Hello Schmoher,
the motor is just fine. The stepper driver will deliver the final voltage / current to the motor so 12V as a supply is fine as well. More important than the voltage is that the battery can deliver the current. with 2 of these motors and the system up to 5A.
