Hi Pilgramage, there has been a lot of discussion regarding alternative and compatible components, some work and some don't. I haven't used the items you mention but I am sure some one might have and can report soon. There are different LCD drivers that you might have to try to avoid the white screen issue. I have used the components from Itead as that is where Airic got his displays from and I have also purchased the Idueano Due from them and both worked without problems. However. even the displays from Itead had some driver issues a while back but seem sorted now. The Sainsmart lcd was the topic of discussion recently where a fix was eventually found..

Well, not *straight away*.  You have to change the display type #define to ILI9325D_16 in miniEngine2.ino when you use the ITDB02-2.4E display that was linked.
