Stepper motor specs
#1
Hello,
I am using my Miniengine V1 since a while now and I wanted to purchase a back up motor.
But I'm afraid I did wrong since I am using 12v battery as my power supply
Here are the specs of the motor :

Model: 42SHD0217-24B
2 Phase
Step Angle: 1.8 degree± 5%
Rated Voltage: 3.75V
Rated Current: 1.5A
Holding torque: 500mN.m
Detent torque: 15mN.m
Resistance Per phase: 2.5 Ω+10%
Inductance per phase: 5.0mH ± 20%
Insulation cllass:B
Length of Wire: 70cm

Will I burn it ???
I didn't check seriously the first motor I bought and I must have been lucky that it was fine.

Thank you.
I understand the general idea. I will test the last motor I bought.
I will follow your advice if I buy an other one but it's hard to figure what are finally the criteria of your choice...
