Quality depends on aluminium alloy. Black is not that easy.
But colourless is allways a beauty.

How much do they charge for short run anodising? I am workingin on my pan tilt design and thinking of getting it anodised hard black.

Hello Sascha! I am about to finish my mini Engine v1. I am working on the enclosure but I can't find a good female 2.5 mm p,ug for camera. What part did you use for 2.5mm female plug in your enclosure (the one that has a screw lock)? Is it a digi key product? Also, pushbutton extension caps? Where did you get those? Digi key too?
Thank you.

Dear wypyr, the 2.5mm plug is fron a german dealer. Because i can't find a cheaper one. The price for this little part is very high.
The pushbutton caps are designed by me, and i have some who produce them exclusively for me. If you like you can buy only the caps at my shop.
regards
Sascha

WYPYR - are you in the UK?  I can send you some buttons for free if you like.  They're just cut out HDPE chopping board but work well.

For an enclosure - have you seen these sites?

This is very kind of you, thank you. Unfortunately, I am not in UK. I am in US. I have decided to desolder pushbuttons from lcd keypad shield and replace them with longer pushbuttons instead of using caps. Thank you though.

Agree!

WYPYR - You're making a LOT of work for a simple task. Just use long screws in the meantime - with the head against the buttons. As long as they are a good fit with the button holes it should work fine...
