Trinamic driver
#1
I just purchased one of the boards to use until the second version is available. I have decided to use the http://www.motioncontrol-community.org/?page_id=353 shield instead of the Easy Driver I think it should work fine for this. I will post my finding once everything is here. Hope I can have it all together before my trip to Eastern Canada for the fall colors.

Thanks! It'll ship this evening. Let me know if you have any questions on how to connect the motor-driver.

Cheers,

The only thing I need to do is select the correct step and direction pins. I think it will be more work to run the tuning software to get all the motor parameters set on the chip. I'll keep you up to date with the progress once all the parts arrive.

I'm still waiting for the Stepper board, but all works great using a big easy driver. I should have the Trinamic stepper board Wednesday it will be another easy hook up.

The board is a no go because it uses pins 12 and 13

What about this: "...the TOS-100 allows you to choose nearly any pin for any signal."?

My system is working very well with the Big Easy driver

I still have to figure out the cloud controller, either too many or none :-)

Great video! Even the (almost) vertical movement seems to work perfectly.
