4P4C Modular Jacks - SpaceDyeVest - 08-11-2014

Airic, do you have a manufacturer & part number for the modular jacks you used on the BED board? I cant seem to find the part that fits the footprint you used.

Thanks!
Matt

Thanks! I can't believe I missed that. I was searching Digikey for quite a while. -Matt

I am trying to find an equivalent to this part, seeing as digikey is backordered till April 2015. What are other parts people have used?

I found many sellers on ebay just search 4p4c modular.

Are they selling the same part though? I made a purchase through Mouser and the jacks I got don't fit into the BED. The pins are offset differently from the through-holes and the support tabs are too far spread.

If the other big sellers (Mouser, Farnell) don't have them in stock, you could try this one - for this price you can't do much wrong:

Thanks! That was just the confirmation I needed.

Just to piggy-back on this post.  I also have used the 4P4C connectors and will be using 2 x NEMA 17 motors.

My thoughts now turn to the cable order.  I have Red, Green, Yellow and Blue.  I've used a meter and found that they pair as R&G, Y&B but does that mean its:

Pin      Cable
1         Red
2         Green
3         Yellow
4         Blue

How has everyone else done there's?

Update: I've gone back and found the details for the motor which has confirmed what my testing showed:

So I think the only way is to try the above layout and see!
